I just do break/fix from home for a company. Pays well for the work itself, benefits are good, besides working from home.
I used to have a remote-admin job for a rather large number of VPS servers (12 units, 12 clients per). Fucker who owned it paid well, on time, and without hassle... till one day I went to log in and nothing worked. I was in near panic trying to get him on the phone to physically check the servers, no answer. Called the colo he had them in, they went and checked... and he'd cable cut and fucked off. Just up and disappeared with all the gear.
I got my last paycheck a few days later, paid in full, but wtf.

I don't have that problem. I go out on the weekends, and troll the chat rooms with others. I like it; I don't have to pretend to be friendly with Milton so he won't burn the fucker down.
