Windows 10 should be free with the sheer metric fuckton of user analytics and ad revenue they make shoving ads into the start menu and all app purchases on the microsoft app store and even all the free apps because they forcibly insert their own ads if you're not charging for the app.

It's still kinda free with a valid 7 or 8 key. My work threw out about 20 laptops, T420 and T440s devices. I took about 6 T420 and four T440s devices. I put 8.1 on one and upgraded it to 10 using the media tool on Microsoft's site.

After forcing myself to use it for a day, it's not but better than 8 and requires a significant number of tweaks just to make it livable. If they just took out all the spying and ad garbage it would have been an easier successor to 7.

I know it's crazy anon but they throw out tons of good stuff. I have four of these chairs that had a bad shock. A $20 shock from Amazon and they are as good as new. All the laptops work, they are just "Too old" for people there. It's mostly that the warranty has expired on them.
