Hey /g/, /co/ here. Was wondering if you could explain this comic to me?

thx
nice dubs
"#init 6"
means running "init 6" from a root shell, which switches the system to runlevel 6, aka reboot
the text on the right is likely meant to be the mess that is that machine booting up

also the "system is going down in five minutes" is what a user logged into a system would typically receive if a reboot/shutdown was initiated with a timer (as opposed to immediately like most home users do)

Jerkcity is literally somebody's IRC channel filtered down and then dumped into Microsoft Chat or whatever that program is called.

Is "init 6" something that has to do with the kernel or the init system?
Been using "init 6" and "init 0" on Void Linux for reboot and shutdown.

"init" is part of your init system, however runlevels themselves are a kernel feature

Thanks.
