The MX510 has lasted me the longest out of any mouse. Always have it on standby for when others shit themselves.

Went from default Dell mouse to this.
Middle mouse requires a bit of a push and the rubber around the scroll wheel slides of to the side a little sometimes making it squeak. Other than that I like it. And it doesn't get pulled down by the weight of it's own cable.
Turned the light off though, because why is it there in the first place.
Also, configuration is stored in the mouse itself.

Not sure how long it would last. I`m handy with soldering iron, had some scrap boards with good quality microswitches, all took me 15 minutes. Messing with internals of a microswitch would take longer for sure.

This, the Sensei is the most comfortable mouse I've used and I haven't seen any other ambidextrous mouse that has thumb buttons on both sides. Mine is getting old and beat up though, I don't understand why Steelseries just doesn't release the Sensei with the newest sensor in it.

I have the Nixeus Revel now and it's decent for the price but not as nice as my Sensei and the mouse wheel click double clicks sometimes which is annoying when opening links while browsing the web.

Why is there even a difference between gaming mice and regular/semi-professional mice? Programmable buttons are useful for games just as any other professional software. But no, any mouse with more than 2 buttons needs to have a 10 meter long cord, oversized logo with flashing LED lights and come in all kinds of absolutely autistic shapes.
