Expect that aren't down.

Intel is doing better than ever. Their bread and butter (normal Pentium to Core i5s) are selling like hotcakes while their server/workstation tiers (Xeons) are enjoying their fortress.

This stunt makes no bloody sense. Somebody at Intel thinks it is still 1990s.....

AMD only threatens Intel's workstation/server line-up with upcoming Epyc and Threadripper.

>AMD only threatens Intel's workstation/server line-up with upcoming Epyc and Threadripper.
That is where most of their money is coming from.

Latest HEDT is an attempt to get rid of binned xeon rejects by selling them to goys at absurd prices, like usual.

Laughing at 4.0GHz when vast majority of Ryzens can't be clocked beyond 4.1? Remember the better IPC and memory peformance.

What comes to coolers, as if Nehalem at 130W required liquid cooling. Slap a Noctua on, clock to 4.5GHz+ and have a chip which is better than Ryzen across the board.

Of crouse, if you want to compete with 6c/12t ryzens a 4c/8t Intel is plenty.

Q4 is holiday season, it's the most profitable quarter, MAD doing as good in Q1 as in Q4 is very fucking good for a technological company, especially considering they had no Q1 launches besides Ryzen 7, and that was only for 20 days, so far from a full quarter.

It's to make AVX512 work. It would have higher IPC only for loops that fit into L2, which are almost nonexistant.
>>
>>60660784
All the benchmarks will be single threaded gayming, when the boost clock allows it to perform.
Also quick encoding/productivity benchmarks that are complete before the thing starts catching fire and throttle back to base clock.
Then nobody will actually buy this shit, but shill on /g/ will proudly claim Intel is so much superior. Regardless of how much they're jewing us.
>>
>>60660874
Unless it's cache aware programs, more L2 won't increase IPC, in fact L2 access should be higher latency now.

Anyhow, L2 increase is mostly for AVX512 and not much more, a large pool of L3 historically helped Intel's IPC, but lowering it won't help them at all.
It's gonna be another 2-3% IPC increase at best.

The Unreal engine supports multiple cores all the way back to 1998. The original engine has issues on newer multi core PCs though. Interesting. I suppose at the time 2 processors were the max and it was just beginning to be feasible for some hobbyists around 1998 (dual Celerons with Windows NT and Abit motherboard). I wasn't exactly sure. It can detect all of my processor cores but I wasn't sure how they were used. There is little documentation; however I think could be some usage of multiple cores, even with the DX7 renderer because some people on modern PCs were having to turn off some cores to fix the framerate bug without installing the updated renderer. The software renderer usually fixes the speed up issue for me, so it may not be multi threaded. The speed up issue I think even happened on my fast Pentium 4 machine though. I think the Quake 3 engine was at least somewhat multithreaded though.

10nm+ won't be any faster than 14nm++ when it comes out, anyway. It will have (potentially) lower power usage which could mean higher stock clocks/OC.

They're even releasing an "Extreme Edition" like in the Netburst days.
>>
>>60674676
They've actually had Extreme Editions for a while now.

The fact that they brought it back before a viable competitor was on the market is kind of sad.

I'm really useful in the sense I take all the bad decision, so if you want to make the good decision, you should do the opposite of what I'd do. I'm really a piece of shit, I will never have nice things because I ALWAYS make poor choices.

Low-end and mid-range has always been Intel's bread and butter. They make far more in sheer volume. It is what allowed Intel to be in the massive black during the "Netburst" days when K8 was completely raping Intel in HEDT/server markets.

Enterprise generates a handsome profit but it pales in comparison to the low-end and mid-range portables/desktop market.

Half pea/full pea sized blob in the center, then apply the heatsink evenly down onto it.
Not that it really matters.
You can do what ever, even lots of little dots.
Unless you're overclocking it's not going to make that much difference. 1-5c
Unless you're a 7700K owner, then you have to do it with machine like accuracy. As to not crack the die/meltdown.

Just keep hammering down on "muh single core". Even though it's only relevant for one CPU.
