SMPlayer because it allows me to look online for subtitles with a right click and its "compact mode" is more minimal than MPV itself.

Since there's no mpv thread might as well ask here. Is there any benefit of having either SSimSuperRes or KrigBilateral if I watch 1080p videos on 1080p display. And if there is, which one should I use (I also use adaptive sharpen)?

Smplayer because it has an mpc hc layout option and I like it.

I just went back to using mpc hc on windows though. It's better
