the fact that only one "serious" language turned out to be like php (php itself) suggests that god may actually exist

I really love dyd
I hate it, ugly syntax.
>>60643440

thankfully
$var
self::$var
$this->var;
is_null($var);
isset($var);
strpos($haystack, $needle);
array_search($needle, $haystack);
$foo = $bar
mutate($foo); // doesn't affect bar, unless it's an object.
PHP is somehow even more ugly and inconsistent than C++. Except you don't get any of the actual power of that language.
>>60643440
I love PHPUnit and Codeception.
Thanks God those exist.

I'm happy for you.
And I'm happy for myself, since I don't use that horrible programming language.

I love it too (as a comedy language)

LOL. I was actually anticipating this.

this and the fact that most PHP codebases aren't important

Whoever made this cartoon must feel like God among programmers. Jon Skeet has actually used the Jon Skeet drawing from the cartoon as his avatar

Still missing the point.
>>60644300$ python
foo = 4
bar = foo
bar = 5 # foo is still 4 wtf
>>60644045
That last one makes perfect sense. You're assigning a reference to the object in the case of non-primitives. Every language that uses reference abstraction behaves the same way, including Java, JavaScript, and python
>>60644449
PHP already has reference semantics using &.
Every other datatype in the language, including the """array""", uses value semantics.

Yes you clearly are an idiot.
It was once good for spamming, but the advent of Oauth put it end it to this.
I now write scripts for rapid prototyping and downloading porn automatically.

Literally why? Bash is less painful
>>60644319
Well that's probably as important as that twitch guy kappa.
I never really like PHP until I discovered Phalcon, really great framework you can rattle together a JSON api in about an hour or so.
