How do you guys plan your setup/layout? I've been living in my house for 3 years now and I just have my computer set up in the middle of my living room on a coffee table. It's terrible. I sit on my sofa and use the mouse by running it on my leg -- not even kidding. I bought 4 monitors to put 2 horizontal flanked by 2 veritcal, because I saw the setup at one of our network engineers and thought it looked really cool.

I think I fucked up, though, I bought 4 24" BenQ monitors (not gaming specific shit, just decent monitors) but the vertical ones don't handle the viewing angles very well.

Comfy as fuck arrangement other than that though, with better planning this would have been really nice.

No reason really. I just like to see how far I can push it. I also do a lot of analog stuff and screw with 80s tech. So it has its help. One of the monitors is used for my server. 2 are for my secondary computer where I mess with assembly and what not. And 4 are connected to my main. One of which is the flat screen TV, so I can watch movies and the like. And most computer stuff I get for free or dirt cheap. Like those two 1980s camcorders. I have those connected to all the TVs, VCRS, and my main computer. So I can use them as Webcams.

Uaed chair. Not crazy about the color (gray) and the old style round padding versus newer mesh chairs. Arm rests are kind of loose and annoying, I need to fix. It also requires you sitting upright to gain it's benefits. Otherwise it's very nice. One little feature is that when leaning back it basically stays that way until you *completely* lift your torso off it, unlike most others that immediately spring back.

The Think looks nice but I haven't tried it.

I also know you can set a tablet up to be a screen for your desktop. It can also be set up to monitor the temperatures of the desktop components. And lastly there are apps that can be bought to use the tablet as remote access to the desktop.

I personally just use mine for Nintendo emulators.

That is called dreamscreen or at least that's the version of that I know of.

It's a desperate led strip with I believe it's own app or software. Basically just mimics the colors on the front of the screen to increase immersion.

Pretty cool, I'd consider one. Put it on the list with the nanoleaf aurora for whenever they drop the price.

I tried the exact thing, I think. Alex drawers with a bunch if those capita legs, then the counter. Leveling the top between the like 7 adjustable legs is a nightmare and the desk itself is like 4 inches too tall for pretty much any chair I loomed at. Think I'm gonna lose the legs and replace them with some leftover chunks of the countertop I bought.

I'm finding it difficult to add personality to my station without it seeming childish.

I added some leds already which could be argued is shitty, but I personally think having them set to a nice amethyst or sky blue combined with my salt lamp is very calming.

Other than that all I can really come up with that I really love is star wars and lego. Both of which seem like they may be kinda off in a grown mans office space...
