Time for a recap.
For reference: I'm not a super tech savvy guy, but I did build my PC
>Playing MC with my mates
>random BSOD after monitor freaks out and glitches like crazy
>Aw, whatever
>restart
>try to rejoin my friends
>Screen freaks out and Blue screen again
>what the fuck
>try to restart again
>computer blue screens when trying to boot
>oh shit
>try automatic repair
>does not work
>try calling tech support for various places (microsoft, manufacturer for motherboard, etc.)
>they all tell me different shit, none of it helpful
>try to boot in safe mode
>it works, but screen is fucked up because of driver issue or something
>afraid my computer will brick at any second
>its getting late
>decide to call it a night
>watch youtube on phone until I sleep
>Next morning
>try booting again, but as expected no avail
>give myself time to calm down and think
>try to remount the video card, a trick I've been doing for a while to fix a different issue
>doesn't work
>well shit
>still stressed out
>decide to leave my PC in safe mode and do nothing else
>spend basically all day pondering what I should do next, while watching youtube and stuff
>turn off pc again, then sleep
Continued in next post
I don't have this problem with my Gentoo machine.
Nobody cares.
Run dxdiag.exe and post the results, then we might be able to help you
OP here, nevermind, I figured it out
>day 3
>had gotten idea over the night
>try to remove the video card completely and plug the monitor directly into the motherboard
>it seems to work
>"shit, my video card must be dead"
>spend the rest of the morning looking for replacement
>talking about it with friends and family, looking for advice on a good card
>decide to go with decent one for pretty cheap, which was still a bit better than my old one in some ways (it was super old)
>order it, it's on the way
>feeling okay
>sit down at computer, look inside
>sudden thought hits me
>"what if it's not the card, but the port that's having problems"
>look inside: sure enough, the port I was using looks a bit worn, but not sure if broken
>fuck.png
>try to mount my old card in a different slot
>it seems to be working okay
>double_fuck.png
>try to cancel order
>can't cancel the order
>triple_fuck_sundae.png
>install drivers for the port of my old card
>restart machine
>machine fails to boot
>fucking_four_fucking_fuck.png
>have to go back to unplugging the video card
>I got no clue whether it's me, my card, the motherboards port, or just some kind of driver issue
>i fucking hate myself
>MFW
I'll post my specs if any of you guys can help me out.

Hmm, looks like you're gonna need some special diagnostic tools that are only available on GNU/Linux systems. Report back when you've installed it.

install gentoo

Just wait for the video card, OP. Meanwhile, search for the ordered video card's driver in case it didn't come with driver CD.

For real, if you're playing Minecraft then install Linux. Mint would probably be a good choice. Don't forget to install Nvidia proprietary drivers (available from Driver Manager).
Anyone have a quick fix for screw that are too tight? I'm trying to get to the battery on the motherboard of my laptop but I can't even open the fucking thing.

Reinstall windows or install ubuntu mate
