Not that guy, but I found kind of a middle ground with my old PC by putting it on a small wooden box (used to be a drawer or something). That way it didn't vibrate my desk and take space, plus it was safe from dangers of the floor, such as accidental kicks, etc. Poor collegefag now though, so just using a laptop, lul.

Ayy. Oldish pic, some things have changed but nothing crazy. Got more VHS tapes but don't have good shelf space for them, really need to prune some things. Also picked up two PowerMac G3s from a coworker. Working on one of them sporadically but that's kind of taken a backseat to building my 3D printer.

Also trying to decide on an audio interface/USB mixer. One or two input interfaces on paper seem to be less bang for your buck when compared to similarly priced mixers. They come in a much smaller form factor so there's something to be said for that but I kind of like the option of having more inputs and more control over those inputs through hardware. So that being said it seems like a no brainer for me to go with a mixer as long as I don't mind the larger physical footprint, which I don't. My current top contender is the Monoprice 10-Channel Mixer. If someone that knows better than me wants to chime in I'd appreciate the feedback.

I have 2 DP->DVI and one DVI and it works fine. To get over two displays you will need all digital- so if you are still using VGA you'll need adapters, but specifically active ones otherwise you'll be fucked.

I bought the mouse when my last logitech shit the bed on me- I've had bad luck with them lately, so I thought I'd try another brand, the mouse is great so far.

Not sure, it was purchased in 2017 though, and uses Razer's own green switches, which are similar to cherry mx blues. I don't have any complaints about the switches, they have been consistent and reliable for me so far (3 months in). Their green switches are said to be a big improvement over switches they used in the past.

Gonna mount my desktop on the wall beneath my desk, so I would need a mount. Doing some cable management so I need to get a new power strip that I can attach to the bottom of the desk.
Another lamp for the left side so that the light can be balanced.
Might get a few other things like a foot rest, and DVI cable so that I can connect my TV.

That is a nice set up man. I used to be like you and used my laptop on a desk and had all kinds of shit. Then I moved out on my own and guess what, you only answer to yourself when you live on your own. I realized I didn't actually need a desk, I used it as a TV stand. You will find that as you move through different spaces and stages in life, you won't need all that shit you mentioned. You got the couch, that's awesome, don't order a bunch of shit without being sure you actually NEED IT, don't get it just because "that's what everyone else has" when they live on their own. Get what works for you.

me personally, next time i get to live on my own. I will get a nice couch that I can lay flat and sleep on if I want to, that is a must. And a recliner that I could sleep in if I wanted to as well. coffee table with wheels, because those things have to be moved often. It would be nice if I could put castors on the couch as well, that way it would never be a problem to move it.

Couch, coffee table and another chair(recliner) is all I would want, anything else is clutter.

see thats where you and me differ and my advice isn't the best for you, because I would simply have the three seater couch. the table in the middle and at least another chair on the other side of the coffee table, maybe two, to me the living room main purpose isn't to watch TV so I wouldn't have none of it facing the TV.
