I'm interested in machine learning and it doesn't look like sleep is happening anytime soon. I want to do something like a simple chatbot(or any front end really, just care about the data side) with a small data set my gpu can handle. I don't even know where to get started.

trying to write a key gen for a program from 1999, I'm using IDA free and I've identified the section that verifies the key, but it is filled with spaghetti calls that continue like a never-ending layer of hell or something.

I've made a working patch for just skipping the check but I want to write a working keygen and it is actually taking me fucking forever to work through this logic.

Is there a way in IDA free to just turn all calls into inline code automagically for reading ease?

That's probably the actual key generation algorithm.

Like you said, it might be easier to just code a patch/crack which actually just JMP's to the success routine, as opposed to creating an actual keygen program.

You can convert the calls to C code I think but it won't help much. It's really, really shitty.

I'm doing it on a game called neverwinter nights. I made a crack for dungeon siege before this, and I'm just working through various old shitty games that are 32-bit on my shelf. (IDA Free only works for 32-bit shit). After this I'll see about some old versions of designer/visio etc. It's actually been pretty good practice because I constantly have to lookup the wonky shit the disassembler gives me.
