xmonad
>>60609024
Spectrwm.
Feels similar to xmonad, but is written in C, has sane defaults, has a builtin status bar, and is configurable with plain text.
I think Spectrwm is the tiling wm with the best design and it's the easiest to use.

whats the easiest tiling wm to use? being able to easily use the mouse to control it would be a huge plus
>>60612569

These, though xmonad is much harder to configure.

Is gobolinux worth switching to? The filesystem seems really interesting but I'm not sure it's worth the hastle.

I like it 'cause of awesomewm and their default theme, and I DO like the filesystem; it's more intuitive than the standard Linux fs. That said, it's not ready for everyday use yet IMO. Heck, even their website says it's a research/experimental OS, so it's probably not for beginners. Still, I think it has a lot of potential.
I'd put it on a VM first and play around with it; see if you like it. Mine is on a VirtualBox VM and works well. The basic install can be a little bare-bones, so you'll probably have to add the packages you want yourself, using their packaging system. It's more work since it's pretty young, but contributing to an OS's development is generally a good thing.
Have at it!
