I own M50's, AD900x's as well. Have tried DT880's and a number of gaymer headsets.
M50's are nice for bass-heavy music, or when the roommate's blaring music or something.
AD900x is just my LAN headphones. Treble is kinda shrill, zero bass, but insane soundstage.

Imo the K7xx is simply the most well-rounded and comfy headphones I've gotten to try.
Soundstage is only second to AD900x. Bass is flat - not "fun," but at least it exists. Treble is detailed, but not shrill or fatiguing to listen to.

They're terrible if you're using onboard, and the $8 USB soundcard I use for LAN's can power them, but they really lose a lot of detail.
The Magni / Modi improves my other headphones some, but it really lets the K7xx shine.

Worst: Microsoft (the buttons have this shitty built-in hotkey thing that fucks up things like middle click)

Alienware actually isn't overpriced anymore. I also needed the laptop because I'm in the Navy and on the love. I have a gaming desktop I built awhile back but I can't use it right now.

I always thought Alienware was a total meme and shorty overpriced garbage but since I bought it I'm incredibly happy with it and so far it's been worth every cent. You should feel and see the build quality of the new 17 R4 if you haven't, it actually is probably the reason it isn't "more costly" when it really isn't nowadays compared to other brands. It's made up of fucking metal and carbon fiber for the chassis. The keyboard is always flawless. I don't know man I love my ayylienware.

The middle of the desk is made from two different pieces so maybe the back end of those two have too much weight and are flexing down more than the rest of the desk?

I just honestly have no regrets after using this computer. I'm really happy I bought it. I also don't know if I got a excellent thermal paste job or if Dell has stepped it up but after the past complaints with thermal issues I can't quite tell. People say they average roughly 85c or more on GPU and all that at max load but for me the hottest my CPU has ever got is 75c and my GPU being at 71c and that's at max settings on games like Witcher 3, Gears of War 4 etc. and I also have other shit up and running while playing. My average temps are 73c on the CPU and 68 on the GPU.

That's pretty good. On my model, which was the one right before yours there is a definite issue with thermals. I was getting upwards of 90C sometimes if I didn't mainly control my clocks and my fans at the same time. I actually bought the Amplifier not because I play intense games but because I wanted to more easily have multiple monitors and having the GPU be outside heavily reduced the internal temps.

I love how in your model so much of the shit comes out from the back. I'd show you a picture of mine but there's so much shit around it its difficult to show how yours would be more useful. But obviously, all cords running out from the back would be more much useful on a desk than a few coming from all directions.

Yea the setup they did for the heat exhausts is my favorite part. All the heat comes out the back and theres an extra heat exhaust on the top left on the side. Theres also and air intake on the top ride side that actually works really well because you can feel the air sucking into the computer.

My station is looking pretty sad right now though. I just packed up everything I could in my home because I'm moving to Japan tomorrow (military). It's the first time in 5 1/2 years Marcus Fenix statue and all my Gears of War collection stuff hasn't been with me while I game.

Man, when I moved from Germany back to the US the last month I had the saddest little setup with my laptop all by itself. Family was with me doing the packing and they packed up all my peripherals including my mouse. If I ever got another gaymer laptop I might go for the Alienware 13 in a few years if it still has an OLED option, but I hope that my living situation will have stabilized to the point that by then I can just have a desktop.

Your eyes should be at ~70% the height of your monitor and your arms should rest on your mouse and keyboard such that your arm only very lightly touches the desk top. If your elbow is below your desktop or resting heavily on it then you have fucked up ergonomics and your ulnar nerve is going to get fucked up by the time you're 40.

Its a good layout but there are a lot of choices I'd make differently.

- bigger desk, or a different place to put the case
- better monitors. they're what you actually look at so its worth having good ones
- monitors mounted to desk or wall
- bias lighting behind monitors for eye strain
- better cable management

I also prefer compacts to full 10keys but I guess that's personal preference.
