Antergos is more garbage than ever, what next?

This is a blue board which means that it's for everybody (Safe For Work content only). If you see any adult content, please report it.

Any of you Antergos losers having this problem?

https://forum.antergos.com/topic/6984/error-with-antergos-keyring

^ Basically, they fucking corrupted their own system package, and now their OS is basically useless. They "claimed" to have fixed the issue" but honestly, it's gotten nowhere for me for the last 6 hours.

I'm a long time Debian user, switched to Arch. Got tired of having to deal with spending 30 minutes monkey typing shit tier commands.

Found Antergos; had option to install Steam in the install. >feelsgoodman.jpg

Rolling release is nice, especially for dev work -> but where the fuck should I go now?

I'm open-minded, but Steam support is a must (my job makes me want to murder people). And no, Ubuntu does NOT work on my hardware, so that's fucking out the window.

/g/ is NOT your personal tech support team or personal consumer review site.

Archbang
it just works (use syslinux if grub doesn't)

You should only be using antergos as an arch installer anyway.
Delete all the bloat and antergos repos after installation.
>>
>>60590723
I actually use refind because it's sexy af, and loads whatever I tell it to load. All my experiences with grub have been sub-par, so I generally avoid it.

Oh. Looks like their wiki is down. But all the history is still there.

>>60590737
Yeah, I'm basically fucking retarded. Still kinda says a lot about a dev community when they can't properly sign critical packages - that's kinda the point of my point.

I'll remove the antergos-keyring again. Maybe this time it will work.
>>
>>60590854
I think someone vandalized their wiki, but their forums are active. The latest iso was released about a week ago after I reported video driver issues. Mind you, they use OpenRC and not systemd, which is why I chose ^! over crunchbang

>and now their OS is basically useless.

You can just comment out the Antergos repo in pacman.conf and pacman will update just fine. When did you switch to Arch, last month?
>>
I'm using Antergos and haven't updated this week (yet), help I'm scared.

>>60590911
>>60590737
What's in their repos? Nothing important I take it?
>>
>>60590737
Didn't work, as I expected. They literally have this bloat embedded now, I tried this a couple of hours ago already. I've basically given up hope already.
>>
just use Ubuntu
>>
>>60590925
If I recall correctly, you get some themes and icons and a welcome screen post install. It is seriously inconsequential fluff. You can comment it out and lose nothing when you update.
>>
>>60590911
I switched about two months ago. Wasn't nearly as steep as people made it out to be. I've had a couple of issue, but it was simple enough to fix.

This shit though, it's fucking infuriating. It's something I cannot fix without removing a shit ton of other things because the Antergos dev team.
>>
>>60590958
See?
>>
>>60590939
Ubuntu installers (tested Stock, GNOME, and Xubuntu) actually crash on my system. It's kinda hilarious.
>>
>>60590962
I still don't understand. Whatever you got from their repos will just not be updated.
>>
my rock solid Windows 10 LTSB N does not have this problem

$ sudo pacman -S sddm/gdm

on tty:

$ sudo systemctl disable lightdm

$ sudo systemctl stop lightdm

$ sudo systemctl enable sddm/gdm

$ sudo systemctl start sddm/gdm

Removing Antergos Packages: $ sudo pacman -Q | grep antergos

Removing the repo: $ sudo nano /etc/pacman.conf

Sure is summer in here (^:

I'v already tried that. (And I've switched to gdm since day 1 on Antergos).

The dumb fucking keyring package STILL shows up when I pacman -Syu

>>60591111
And I've already been working on it, twat. I'm honestly looking for a new distro that dosen't have incompetent developers, and that actually works.
>>
Did you even edit your /etc/pacman.conf so that the antergos repos are commented out like so then do this:
pacman -Scc
pacman -Syu

?
>>
Use Manjaro, it has better aesthetic. The only complaint people have is that it's not Arch, but i'm sure you dont mind that.

It's been 40 minutes and he hasn't replied, guess that fixed it for him. Thanks anon helped me out too.
>>
>>60590689

OP here. A issue arose at home, but yeah - that seemed to have worked for me.

If I knew how shitty the Antergos repos were I would have probably stuck with stock Arch via Archfi.

>>60591484 That was I tried, but it never worked. Removing the Antergos repo was the only fix for me.

I feel like a filthy peasant now. All that time with Debian has probably fucked me up.
