I had a 780ti in here earlier today, but I took it out because I believe it shit the bed. Can you guys clarify something for me?
I was playing CSGO with my friends, actually we were playing a fuckton of stuff all evening like we usually do, but right when I launched overwatch and pressed the button to search for a match, my game, along with battle.net crashed. I tried again 3 times and the same thing happened, on the third time my entire display fucked out. Both of my monitors were covered with long horizontal lines, then the display went dark.
>I restarted my PC and it froze during start up
>worked fine in safe mode so I reverted to a system restore point
>same issue as before
>restarted again
>start up looked like this; http://cdn.overclock.net/0/0f/350x700px-LL-0f0cedbe_image.jpeg
>rolled back the GPU drives
>same issue
>took the GPU out and started running off the CPU
>everything is fine
It's undoubtedly the GPU right? I don't want to write it off as broke if there's any more tests I should run first. My card is 4 years old this month, is this the usual lifespan of these cards?
I'd like to say that it wasn't showing any signs of degradation before this and it wasn't really, it had some minor sticking earlier in the day, but aside from that nothing out of the ordinary. All my games ran perfectly too, even the Overwatch menu screen right before the crashes.

>is this the usual lifespan of these cards?
No, I still use a 750ti in my rig, and I don't think I've ever had a card crap out like that.
I have an AMD card (it's in storage and I don't remember the model) about 11ish years old that worked last time i used it (i think 2 years ago)

Got it back in 2013 as a Christmas gift, I've been thinking of upgrading. The Video Card was upgraded from a GeForce 636 to a 750, and it runs most things smoothly.

I think I am going to install another fan in the side. I cleaned out the dust yesterday but as I can see now, it does not appear to have an effect on the temperature of the graphics card. Is it because it is nvidia?
