is void any good? or should i stick with arch?
stop distro hopping
Void for for kids who think Arch is too mainstream these days.

Not him but I would like a better supported non-systemd distro. Right now I've got a hacky openrc setup that may or may not last.
>>60564213
Really?
I thought it having runit instead of systemd was a bigger selling point
It's for inept losers who can't remove sysd from Arch

Arch is trash, void is ok.
Instead use a half-decent OS like Gentoo, Slackware, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, or PCLinuxOS.

Finally a list where gentoo isn't the biggest meme
Its a really good distro, the best binary based one right now.
It may have some problems being still new, but it's getting better everyday

If you're installing Void to a non-x86 64bit system then fine. Otherwise, just use Arch and stop freaking out over systemd already.
>>60564331
I didn't mind systemd at first but it just keeps getting worse and worse.
>>60564166
i would use it, but it is made by spics
stay with arch if you can
>>60564354
What do you find bad about it? It seems to do everything really well. And so many distros use it so it must be good.
>>60564402
Its cancer that manages too much.
Also just because something is popular doesn't
mean it's good, see Windows 10.
>>60564432
There's nothing wrong with it managing a lot of things. Do you use your OS to get work done or to micromanage daemons and services?
>>60564402
It doesn't stop growing and it keeps getting really bad bugs from time to time (an empty string crashed it not too long ago). It's popular because it makes it easier for distro maintainers not because it's good software.
