This has resulted in a massive increase in the amount of noise and negatively effected the signal people come here for. Anyways, the fundamental problem with 4chan comes from outside 4chan, which makes it substantially more difficult to fix.

Also generals threads are a blighted cancer and should've been banned instead of encouraged. They singlehandedly destroyed 80% of the OC 4chan spawned by forcing people into the same boring old threads. It used to be that if you wanted to talk about x, you made a thread about x and if it was shit, nobody replied and if it was good you got a thread about x for 300 posts. If people got bored of x they stopped talking about it naturally.

Now you start a thread about x, a janitor deletes it
You go to the general about x instead, everyone is so mind-numbed by x that they shitpost because there's nothing to talk about, it's done to death. Your OC idea/content gets posted 3/4ths through so nobody ever sees it and you get 1 reply while most of the discussion revolves around lewd or an autistic sperg.
