Tripfags can definitely be annoying. I always tried to be polite and helpful when I was a tripfag. I only used my tripcode in certain threads. I stopped tripfagging because I stopped coming to /g/ (actually, I stopped coming to 4chan altogether) for a while and didn't have a reason to continue when I came back.
