Media pc, I got the zero which I kind of regret because the performance is trash, I have to be careful about file formats and can't do streaming video. Messing with clocks and (very limited) ram splits got me reasonable consistency but still watch formats and get the occasional file that should pay but doesn't.

I used to have Kodi on them with addons to watch any movies/shows for free. After a while there was an update for Raspbian, so I use that now and just use the browser for everything, and I also have a retro gaming emulator OS on it but I've only used it like twice.
In essence right now it's a glorified media center, although I could theoretically use it to manage all my projects and even code in it, but I have a laptop so I don't need it.

I plan to use it to host a couple of websites I need to build in the summer, and if that happens I'll get another one when a new version comes out because why not.

It's a great platform for running low power scripts forever... Hook up an external hard drive with its own power supply and it gets much more useful.

one in a 1u the runs webserver, 1 in 1u that runs Print server and handles UPS. 1 that streams SDR. 9 in a cluster that collects dust mostly, zero in a box doing nothing and one im about to make into a trail cam for conservation group thingy I work with.

I have one I use to run some chan/reddit scrapers to download porn.

I have one I use in an enclosure with a battery I hide in a local food shops bathroom to leech their fibre internet to download shit like torrents and mega.nz huge links.

I've got one running just pi-hole. Have plans to eventually add more stuff to it but haven't decided what to do yet.

Hey, I want to teach scientists that does not work in IT on how can they use Raspberry PI in their Lab to automate their work.
Can you think of any ideas that might work for Biologists? Where should I look for tutorials?

Also, I use my Rapsberyy pi as a Desktop when I need to shitpost or read something and using a tower PC just to read a PDF seems stupid considering the power usage.

If you were doing a double blind study on some sort of drug you could have such a machine do the work for you. Same capsules, similar powders, only the computer knows which numbered batch is placebo or not.

Nobody in biology cares about capsules. They buy machines that do that for them if they work for the Pharma industry.
I'm thinking about the University work, where it doesn't make sense to buy expensive equipment just to monitor some experiments.
