Took me a few months to secure it. I use Win10 as my HTPC and it's great...but the amount of time I spent was insane. The steps needed to shut down Cortana alone (where she's not even running on task manager) was fucking INSANE. And by doing so, I shut off the search function and windows store. Had to dual boot a regular copy just so I could load and play Gears of War 4 (got it for $17 thanks to work).

Spybot antibeacon, OOshutup10 should get you started. Learn what services you can shut down. Google the Cortana thing. I don't have time to go through all that.

1) live boot any Linux of your choosing
2) run "sudo dd if=/dev/random of=/dev/sda"
3) turn off pc
4) cut hole in the monitor so you have a little window to the real world, that way you can see how unrealistic it is to expect you can un-botnet anything Microshit
