the biggest find was a Music Hall turntable which sold new for $350 and the one i purchased was in nearly new condition

last month i found a bluetooth keyboard ($3), monster audio cables ($2), this weird linux server ($4), and a denon dual cassette tape deck ($7)

its not that i need this stuff but its like beachcombing for shells

Feelsbadman. All the thift store in my area (Including Goodwill) have nothing good, or no electronics at all.
The best of them all has a few consoles but most are non-working or don't have a way of testing them. The back (Where the electronics are kept) are full of people.
One day I am gonna have to go as soon as they open and see if I can spot anything.

Every once in a blue moon on /p/ you'll see some story about how someone bought a thousand-dollar Leica for five bucks at a thrift store, but those are pretty rare. Thrift stores and pawn shops have gotten pretty good at recognizing things that might actually be worth something more than a couple bucks and then looking them up on ebay to see what they're worth. And like you mentioned when they let something through it gets noticed pretty quick and someone buys it to resell.

Best I was ever able to do was I found a brand-new silk necktie for two bucks. Probably someone donated an unwanted gift that was sitting in his closet. Would've been sixty bucks or more at a department store, but then again, it's a necktie. Not the most exciting thing in the world.

Also I am pretty sure that you can get shit for cheaper if you swap the sticker for one of a cheaper item. You would need a glue stick, and some type of things to left the sticker.
