This app on my pc has been using INSANE amounts of ram , I'm assuming it also has to play a role in my games constantly freezing randomly up to 3 to 4 seconds , and I can't seem to find a fix for this. Has anyone found a way to permanently disable this?

You also need to disable the autorun of the defender icon if you want that to be gone

Not necessarily, I never gave it a chance enough to find out. Seeing it use 100+ MB of ram just for antivirus stuff was enoguh to kill it for me. I prefer webroot
