I prefer Unity on my laptop because of the panel shortcuts. I'm aware they're on GNOME with Dash to Dock but, well, GNOME is shit and runs like shit and the devs should feel shit.

I liked it originally but they started rolling their own repos so they can test the packages and hold back updates to make sure they work, that is just bullshit. If I wanted old packages I'd go for something based on Debian not Arch.

Lubuntu. Should be Canonical's flagship at this point, is the most vanilla and intuitive flavor you can get.
>>
>>60501084
But LXDE has the same issue as Unity, the Qt port isn't going anywhere, I wonder if we'll see a Lubuntu announcement dropping LXQt soon or not.

Wait what? CheatIng at a cheap video game is so important to you that you use a different os just to do it?
>>
>>60501453

There's a cheat software that's coded for Linux that's undetectable by the Valve Anti Cheat called AimTux. I mainly play legit on Windows but will boot up Xubuntu to make people rage every so often.

I would've thought a Debian user would count by 2004 + X
since that's when Debian last updated

Stock Ubuntu

I tried out Xububtu Kubuntu Lubuntu Ubuntu Gnome ans Ubuntu MATE but I always end up with the stock Ubuntu

It is unmaintained and shit. Xfce is also shit because the Devs can't even look at how the other environments fixed it. Losers.

That's a fucking lie. Unity doesn't have native touch support barring compiz hacks.
GNOME has native support for touch devices with gestures and qt5/GTK3 in app touch configurations as well as full Wayland multitouch support.

It doesnt.

It could work but valve doesnt care

it'd have to run as root for a start
>>
>>60501487
If you're using Stable on anything but a server there's something wrong with you. Any normal person would use Testing, and a real alpha use Unstable.
>>
gentoo
>>
>>60502541
That's not true Stable is extremely important in production environments like workplaces as they require very little maintenance.
>>
>>60502537
why? VAC on Windows doesn't control all processes nor requires the Administrator privileges.
>>

Ubuntu Mate 17.04 is the best distro right now
It has the confiness of Ubuntu 10.10 with modern features and is stable af
just werks

After 2 years using Debian (and Arch for a short time), switched HDs and needed something that just worked bcs had work to do, got Mate and shit is surprisingly good, if it breaks I might go back to Debian, but so far it's great
>>
>>60500144
