Is f.lux safe? Or could it be botnet/a keylogger disguised as everyone's nice nice friend software?
Recent events are making me question 3rd party software. Perhaps it's best to get rid of most unnecessary things. And stick with stock MS stuff on Windows and stock Google stuff on Android. It might not be the best or very customisable, but at least I know it's safe.
Use redshift on lincucks and use red moon on android. For windows and macos use the default shit.

stallman protect us from b8 this strong
Don't use f.lux, it runs a check every second if f.lux should enable itself. You'll get microstutter everywhere but most noticable in vidyagayems.

I have never noticed the stutters you mentioned.

Is this why I keep fucking stuttering? holy shit
might also be windows rot

Flux is dead.
Mac = Nightshift
Linux = Redshift
Winshit = Nightlight
>>60469782
I only get this when it actually activates itself. The transition time lags any game horribly but it's just 20 seconds. Wish I could set it to instant or to not enable when fullscreen programs are run.

The microstutter is very bad on my desktop but not noticable on my 2 laptops. It really depends on your system.

trash
also gnome has an integrated solution, so you don't even need redshift

OH THAT WAS!? HOLY SHIT FINALLY I KNOW, was a paint in the ass, i tough that my drivers were bad or my GPU was dying, how the fuck i disable that, i already uninstalled it but keeps fucking happening
>>60470388
After uninstalling f.lux the microstutter remains, so i keep it installed and close the program on startup. I'm too lazy to reinstall windows but a clean uninstall will probably work too.
>f.lux shit itself and thinks it's night

Used it in Windows 7, Ubuntu, Mint and Debian. No problems noticed whatsoever.
f.lux causes cancer

It might just be something else
Virtually every time I try to install flux it screws with my computers shutdown and causes it to hang indefinitely until I press the reset switch. I have no idea how a program can be so horrible. And why is there still no portable version after all these years?
