This is based on flawed logic. You're assuming 110 ppi is the perfect ratio for a monitor. While that may be arguably true for a typical monitor, a 40' screen is not a typical monitor, that's basically a TV at that point. You probably aren't viewing 40' screen at standard monitor distance.
