i think electron is most decent thing in developing cross platform applications, its really easy and fast to develop app that will run on linux, macOS, windows, but i cant accept that this is literally just browser tab with all the swj technology in it.

I have a small streaming app that i wrote in electron and use often, and I've never run into performance issues. To be fair though, it's pretty simplistic and barely uses any memory on top of chromium and whatever video is streaming.

My main annoyance is that the app is over 100MB, while all the stuff that's specific to my app is around 200KB. Although I wrote an updater that just downloads new files and overwrites the old ones.
