not sure if sarcasm, but as far as browsing is concerned, being able to have a free floating wheel is very useful and probably my favorite part about my g502. has just enough extra buttons, good sensor, has been reliable for a couple years now. the multiple dpi settings are kinda lost on me though.

Anyone got experience with R.A.T.? Thinking about buying one of those since I'm a claw grip guy.
>>
>>60464592

I had a chink one that looked almost the same. To be fair it wasn't that bad, the only bad points being the scrollwheel fucking about sometimes and the back/forward buttons being reversed. Still, for 10bongs what else can you expect?
>>
>>60464654
>the back/forward buttons being reversed
You can write a simple autokeys script then compile it to fix this.
>>
>>60464473
Yeah razer makes trash. I've had the G502 from OP's pic for a few years now and I could make it look good as new with a little polish. I have a weird half-claw grip and it fits me perfectly. The adjustable weights are very nice too.
>>
>>60459793
It depends like anything with computers on what you want to do on a computer. Most have added functionality that makes using a computer easier like adjustable sensitivity, adjustable mouse wheel, or weight adjustment which is really nice to have sometimes.
>>
>>60464669
Well already sounds like it would be a huge upgrade over the deathadder at least in terms of build quality. I tend to palm grip but the g502 look like it'd be ok for that too? I know some would be put off by the looks but for me just have a comfortable mouse with no acceleration or prediction rubbish is perfect, I mean my hand is going to be on it anyway so unless it literally looks like a dog shit, I would really care. The weights seem cool too.
>>
>>60464779
I guess it depends on how big your hands are. If I full on palm it the tips of my fingers hang off the edge. All I can tell you is that in normal use it has to be the best mouse i've used. It's accurate, has nice bonus features, and is comfortable. What more could you want.
>>
>>60465043
I wouldn't say I have tiny hands, but they definitely aren't what you'd call large either, so I reckon I'd be safe enough with it. Will definitely give it some consideration, logitech seem to make good quality gear.
>>
>>60464618
Got it as a gift. Sensor got jumpy after several months. Besides that, it was ok.
>>
>>60459755
You can move the g502 as fast as humanly possible and it wouldn't stop reacting. Cheap mice use shit tier chink sensors.

Had the g502 for 2 years now. It works as perfectly as it did on day one and I spend 15 hours a day on my computer. All the buttons are still solid, no squeakiness/movement, no double clicking and it looks fairly new.
The "sniper" button is extremely useful for me because I use it as middle click to scroll, open links etc.
The scroll wheel has worn off a little, but it's entirely cosmetic and the place where your thumb goes has become smooth from wear.

g402 is trash. Why? The fucking scroll. The design is completely atrocious. You can't clean it, you have to change half the mouse with it if you need a new one, it is very easy to break what is holding it and it doesn't even scroll or click that good anyway. How does its sensor compare to something like the 502 or 900? Or, heck, the G700s, even though it's laser?

Because it seems to me that:
- pros compared to, say, G700s
>Optical sensor - but how big is the difference really?
>Battery life.
- cons compared to G700s:
>Shape
>Wheel
>Buttons - while some of them are a meme, I'd have a hard time getting used to no tilting on the wheel

I'm genuinely curious: is the sensor that much better that it's really worth it?
>>

It's definitely good, but there's better stuff out there. Do get a 700s - wireless if you need to carry it around, and more buttons for better productivity. You don't need the meme optical sensor if you don't game.
>>
>>60465558
This actually looks really nice on paper. I'm interested in the button layout, too.

That said it seems to be a literally who brand and there's absolutely no way to ascertain actual sensor quality or, even more importantly, build quality. For all I know it could be worse than razer.
>>
>>60466801
>Instead it has annoying batteries and annoying latency. Progress!
batteries last several weeks and latency is not really an issue anymore. There are professional gamers that use a wireless mouse
>>
>>60467046
Why would you even need a meme mouse if you are not going to game? Just get a five bucks wireless one and you are done.
>>

Great argument there, really convinced me.

Literally the only advantage the G502 has is its sensor, and in practice the G700s's one is good enough that you won't notice the difference if you're not playing FPS games.

Comfort and productivity? The fact that you don't need super-precise optical meme sensors doesn't mean that you don't need enough buttons for using a shitton of macros and a good shape that you can hold all day and not get tired.

>inb4 muh keyboard only productivity
I very much agree, believe me I do, but that's not always possible. Especially if using Windows, there's gonna be a ton of software that has shit keyboard shortcut support and doesn't have vim-keybinding plugins or equivalent.

Doesn't this collect dust and grime like a motherfucker? I'd actually consider unironically buying it myself, if not for worry about how it would hold up under daily use conditions, being carried around, etc. It almost looks like it's supposed to be a high-tech piece you keep in display and only use in tournaments or whatever.

Do you guys think it would hold up fine being carried around in my backpack and used on random tables without mousepads relatively regularly?

Too bad it and the Xornet are discontinued with no replacements.
Looks like I'm just gonna have to keep this thing going until something new comes. Buttons are already getting a tad mushy after almost 4 years of use, planning on soldering new ones on sometime in the future.

I held one at a store, it just felt like a regular mouse. Nothing bad, but with as curled of a claw grip I have, those cheapo Logitech travel mice are more comfy to me than any regular sized mouse.

Its a shame the dpi is low as fuck though but what can you expect. The mouse wasn't made for resolutions in our lord's year 2018-1
>>
>>60475554
Nothing compares in my opinion. Get the latets one for a perfect sensor. Quality issues are hugely exaggerated.
>>
>>60478687
It is a very comfortable mouse with a genuinely great sensor. The reliability issues are, in some corners of the internet at least, exaggerated somewhat due to it being a Razer product.

With that said it probably won't last you as long as a similar Logitech, SteelSeries, Zowie etc. I speak from experience when I say that, my current Deathadder is a few months old and already the left and right clicks feel very flimsy and inconsistent, something which has developed over a pretty short period of time.

If you love the feel of the mouse then go for it, just factor in that you will likely need to replace it quicker than you would one of it's popular rivals.

Crevice make it look uncomfortable.

I tried one of those, but the side buttons were too difficult to push in and keep the mouse stable at the same time. Did the button's resistance get worn down the more you used it?

Is g502 really the best current mouse or is it just marketing?
I want something that will last more than 1 month, something not made by razer.

in my country I can get G102/G203 for $13 ..

okay or nah??

I already have Roccat Kone XTD and G400
is it worth it to upgrade or not ?
>>
>>60499984
Might be too small in height for what you are used to as both the g400 and Kone have height that give you thumb room without resting on the buttons while the g102/g203 you usually have to choose having ur thumb glide on the mousepad/desk or resting on the thumb buttons

I need this mousepad in my life
>>
>>60459346
Why is there a button on the left side near the thumb?
>>
>>60499824
Yes, I'm using that more than 1 month and it still work flawlessly.

Only bad thing is it got some scratch in glossy part out of the box.

Redpill me on the G602. Don't sperg out because of wireless, I don't play mobashit or shooters. My only requirement from a mouse is to have 3+ buttons on the side and be at the same or lower price, this is around 54 eur/60 usd.
>>
>>60473015
that's what I use my mouse for

fuck off parth

Shitty sensor. Nothing to worry about, but you can do better.

Around here the G700s is about the same price. Two less buttons on the side, but in general it's a much more solid mouse. Do consider it.

my x3 is dying... what's a suitable replacement? g303? pgm?

I don't do wireless.
>>
>>60500510
Roccat kone pure
>>
>>60468006
oh fuck yeah. My wrist doesnt hurt anymore and I can just relax instead of swinging my mouse like a spaz.
I play some games with it and I really haven't noticed any drop in accuracy, but then again I mostly play sim games like openttd

Is the wireless version worth the extra money? I thought wireless in itself was a meme but you say it has no delay so I'm curious.

I bought the DA Elite 2 weeks ago and from playing games, I find it to be somewhat heavy to move around. Do you guys think its the mouse that is heavy or perhaps the mouse pad i'm using is not good? Perhaps the traction on moving it against the pad is making it more difficult to move and feel "heavy" ?
