I like my Thinkpads and have a T420 at home but I'd never trade my rMBP for it. Also the overheating argument doesn't really hold water. Thinkpads get hot as shit too. If you have a Thinkpad you have to install tpfancontrol to get decent temps. If you have a Macbook, you have to install smcFanControl.

Seriously I can't overstate how much better the retina display is. Even amongst Windows laptops, Thinkpads have shit cut-rate displays that will make you want to claw your eyes out. Not only that but they have a shit 16:9 aspect ratio vs the god-tier 16:10 aspect ratio of the Macbooks.
