Wassup /g/

I'm not as gifted with computers as i'm sure most of you guys here are, so here's my issue:
I have a HDD taken from a windows 8 laptop, i'm trying to grab files off it, but i don't have permissions to go into the specific users data.
I've tried changing permissions, or saying i'm an admin etc, and even trying to change everything to full control in the security tab in properties.. But it just doesn't do or change anything, i'm not sure how to go about getting the files off this thing.
Help?

not related but based on your speccy it looks like one of your monitors is plugged into your GPU while one is plugged into your motherboard, might want to change that.

yeah, that's not gonna do it
you need to take ownership of the drive
click Properties, Security, Advanced, and Owner
click your userid in the "Change Owner to:" box and click OK
all done, easy peasy
