Can someone tell me why my CPU is running so hot? I'm using corsair h110i v2 and wanted to OC but I'm not sure I want to with these temps at idle.

Solution: remove the IHS altogether and insert your sink or loop directly onto it or buy a CPU that has soldered IHS.

Running stock clock, I had issues with freezing and crashing during video playback on youtube and mpv in linux. Might be something with the GPU but it stopped doing it when i reset the BIOS. Looking to replace the gpu with a cheap second hand 600, 700 or 900 series gtx.

Managed to get it for 2000 euros thanks to Christmas sales at the beginning of last December. I play on the attached screen.

A couple genuine questions. How warm does the laptop get? Do you use the attached keyboard or do you have a separate one for gaming? Can you game in airplanes, etc, or does it get too hot? How loud is it?

It does get hot on the surface when playing demanding stuff so I used a separate keyboard.

I'm one of those people who don't mind the noise so I set the fan to max all the time. But it's reasonably quiet when I don't do that.

The good thing is it's quite light for a 17" gayman laptop (3.3kg) while some can go over 4kg easily.
