I want to disable logd because I don't need a stupid service to write logs all the fucking time so I was wondering if there's any way to actually disable the service or if I should just remove /system/bin/logd? Are you talking about Redmi Note 4X or Redmi 4X? Redmi Note 4X and and Note 4 Global are basically the same phone, 4 Global just has better band support. Redmi 4X is a lower specced model with worse SoC and camera.

it's a fork of the discontinued CyanogenMod Rom, open source, fast slim rom, native flac support, privacy guard (is a great small settings that blocks access to all newly installed apps of having permissions to any of your sensitive data till you decide otherwise), root access, cpu overclocking.

I'm running an unofficial build on a 4 year old shitty samsung ace 3, and it's working just fine with most nougat features, it reboots randomly twice or 3 times a day, but it's pretty fast for a device with such shitty specs.

-- Advice Request --

Going on a trip for 1 month, mostly spending the days walking and visiting cities, but some hiking in the mountains also. GPS is usefulbut all the cell phones have one, a good battery is required.
Was comparing these three but my price range is ideally below these prices. Anyway I'm willing to pay for something in which I can trust, for a couple of years.

Snapdragon is more than fast enough, has GOAT battery life (2-3 days of use), but top and bottom are plastic. Rom support is also much better for Snapdragon.

High screen brightness and miserably mobile signal (= lots of searching). There's another 15% so let's say 12h SOT + some headroom. That's 3 days of 4h SOT. Since I can normally charge it daily, it means zero battery anxiety. Even if I have to use it heavily and even after it inevitably wears down in a year or two.

I know Android is inefficient and throwing mAH at the problem is the brute force solution, but at this point I wouldn't consider another 2500-3000 mAh phone.

Does there exist a phone OS (dumbphones included), or perhaps a suite of apps, that lets one use .vcf and .ics files stored on an external SD card as the primary operational storage of the Contacts and Calendar apps, and not just as backups?

I hate redundancy and would like to be able to switch phones just by yanking the SD card out of one and putting it in another, with perhaps a minimal amount of configuration to get the new one to use the SD card as primary storage. I don't want to have to create backups just to delete them when I'm done migrating.

>>60347989
I'm planning to get a Z2 or Z3. I mainly need it for high-quality camera (and 4K video recording) and mobile MP3. My last one only lasted 1.5 years, with heavy outdoor use.

I could try to get a Z3 cheap instead of the Z2, but I'm not sure which one is better

Z2 advantages:
>Superior battery lifetime
>Older, easier to get, probably sub-80 €
>Hardware is already overkill for my needs

Z3 advantages:
>Slightly thinner and lighter
>Better protection (IP 6X vs 5X)

Which one would you choose? Is the dust-proofness worth it? I am willing to spend up to 100 €.

That's why they did not continue with the Le Max 2 entry into American market and just sold the X829 to Chinese resellers for a cheap price.

Some encountered some problems but most did not, it's just that its an RNG game. But it's a good phone for the price.

Okay boys, recommend me a phone. My 5x's power button appears to be failing, and I never really liked it, so I'm not thrilled about spending ~$50 to fix it.

My ideal phone:

* Works with Project Fi's weird dual-SIM-on-one-SIM GSM + CDMA. (any GSM phone will function, but the automatic network switching is pretty awesome).

* MicroSD card.

* NFC.

* Compact, about the size of the iPhone 5S.

* $200 (hey, I said *ideal*, but I'd like to keep it under $400-ish).

Any suggestions? I know the Project Fi full support is basically never going to happen outside of Nexus/Google products. :-(
