Is this recent ABP hate the new VLC player meme? A bunch of nerds trying to be contrarian or is there any actual reason for it? Because I've used ABP on one PC long before Ublock even existed and I use ublock on my laptop and I can literally not see any difference whatsoever. Other than the fact that you have to take 2 seconds to disable the ABP whitelist of course. What actual difference is there? They both literally use the exact same filter lists.

can anyone post a concrete example of a site that shows ads on ABP that aren't getting through Ublock? I'm genuinely curious.

Yeah, that's the whitelist I mentioned before. Can be disabled in 2 seconds. So other than that, the only thing that makes ABP "bad" is the interface and the fact that you have to do a few more clicks to get the filters loaded when setting it up for the first time?
