That's a peculiar and interesting example, since I have been browsing /m/ on quite a long basis.
I actually consider /m/ to be one of the most untouched boards in any term whatsoever, and with this, despite it's negative aspects with tripfaggoting being considered a given, it managed to become truly genuine to itself as it has been throughout the years.
In fact, I can go as far as to say that most people in /m/ have already long became accustomed to shit like Valverager and such and have since then already built a filter or wall towards such aspects; leaving only the new people that enter the board to take the bait, hook line and sinker.
But that, to me, isn't all bad either. Because if people are stupid to take bait for granted and feel off-put by those parts of the board, than they were never truly meant to be there in the first place. And since I consider myself a purist, it's much better at that since at the very least, I can keep my sense of community intact on the same level just as it has been for years on in.
But anyway, this is just me. I'm an old guy that doesn't really take very well to change.

However as soon as Herkz & Co. got their site up and running, he quickly dismissed Pantsu under the pretext that it keeps going up and down like a yoyo, that it's not stable, etc. and started to shill at full force for their site instead.
It's pretty amusing to see that at least he went through the trouble of trying to play himself as a neutral person just so that he could look good in the final picture. But the reality is pretty much clear as water at the end of the day.

So pantsu's code isn't split between frontend and backend and isn't using a clientside frontend. Meaning the backend is doing both the rendering of the frontend for each request and the usual backend stuff like dealing with the http requests, database stuff, etc.

Ideally you want the backend to just give back API and let the client side frontend render the page.
