Prove me wrong. I'm running Windows, Linux, MacOS, RISC OS, and TempleOS in a VM. No limitations, I can use each OS to it's own strength. No dumb fanboyism, just pure computing.

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.

Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called "Linux", and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project.

There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine's resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called "Linux" distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.
>>
>>60335101
I really only use anything but Linux when I've got stuff to do that Linux can't do. Or I'm on my laptop and using MacOS.

>>60335157
honestly i'm just trying to start some discussion. what's so bad about trying out everything? yeah I agree Linux is a lot better with quality free and libre software and I agree with the libre/RMS mindset. but that's not going to stop me from trying out the proprietary stuff too.

I just like computers and think it's dumb to limit yourself.
>>
>>60334970
no operating system is really better, the choice is up to you. If you're a gamer, then you have no choice, go for Windows. Programmers might prefer Linux and video/graphics producers will probably tend towards Mac. The best thing to do is probably to try each OS and see which is best for you!

Are you too retarded to set up a proper EFI partition and install each OS to boot from EFI on the same drive?
>>
>>60336053
No i prefer it this way that way each OS has plenty of storage qithout needing to mount drives al the time i just boot select drive in boot menu and go
>>

Nigger are you completely retarded? What is /etc/fstab ????
>>
>>60336132
You could do it for free if you had an extra computer lying around, even if you didn't it'd certainly be less than $400 to get one.
>>
>>60336152
Something only linux uses and would still need me to mount the drives on the other two OSes its simpler the way i am doing it

>>
>>60336163
>only linux uses fstab
wrong, it's supported on macOS too. And you can manage what Windows does and doesn't mount at boot time from the Disk Management console.
>>
>>60336232
But why do any of that when the way im doing now works just fine?

>>60336254
Because you're wasting space on each drive for an OS when you could have all 3 OS's on a single drive. It's the more elegant solution. Plus if you had a decent sized drive, you'd only need one drive to start with, seeing as you've repeatedly claimed you don't need the space of a NAS because you "stream all your media".
>>
>>60336207
>Cant store games on it

I mean lets get real for a moment. You install windows 10 in about 45 minutes and for most linuxes its about the same but remember. Biggest base linuxes are about 1 gigabytes or 2 while windows 10 can be more than 5 gigabytes of data. And what happens when you open them. On linux there are about 2 functional buttons, 3 are nonfunctional and in those two buttons there are some pictures to play with. Maybe slide down or up. On windows though, you feel like a god. Its professional its fast, its all functional. You have a godlike user interface. The thing that linux does not have. You have those two buttons in linux, but you still search google for codes to write in terminal. Linux is free because its not worth a penny. Nobody would sell a paper without taking the money. Just not sure why people still buy android while windows phone does 10 times more. Trust me. When you work with windows you know some genius ground breaker dedicated himself to give you an operational os
