What did u mean with study the brain? If you are talking about Neural Network and AI I recommend nodejs and python/c++

Well, my thinking is that the modeling and study of brain behavior can be accomplished by a variety of computational methods, which are to the best of my knowledge bespoke research programs.
Now also afaik there's a wide range of these things, in keeping with the very large amount of fields of brain study and approaches used.
So I'm wondering if there's any language or set of languages that are used more widely or favored for use in this field.
Also, I'd like to know what languages are used in specific subsets if there is a phenomenon of exclusive or more selective language use in those areas, so your answer about artificial neural networks is helpful.

Assembly is the only choice in this field, because the code needs to be optimized AF.

I know very little about programming, but years of seeing meme-posts about chris sawyer writing rollercoaster tycoon entirely in assembly and the resultant discussion have led me to believe that modern compiler's/cpus with c/c++ are just as fast.
Am I wrong?
All these meme answers in the thread are making me suspicious.

there is no guarantee that just because you wrote somehting in assembly that it is is any better than the assembly output of a compiler
if you truly need so much performance you should understand that a high iteration rate on the code that you are writing is paramount.

Why you gotta meme me /sci/?
I submit this nice picture of a rare Hawaiian plant that only grows in loose volcanic soil as a peace offering.
because your question is so ill-posed it shows a deep-rooted stupidity that no answer can clear away. But just in case, here you go:
Learn Python and dive into neural networks with this book.

I did mean for it to be somewhat vague, and maybe a little click-baity as I lack knowledge in the specifics of the field, and was hoping some kind anons might come by and provide me with a better overview of the field than I currently possess.
As I detailed in my earlier post, some languages will invariably be better than others, especially in specific subsets of the field, but also I just wanted to know if there are one or more that have just found favor or entrenched themselves in the field such that there's no way around my needing to learn them if I want to get involved.
So my question is really one part culture and one part logistics.
I'm sorry if I'm stupid.

apologize to your mother, not to me. Go with python and the book in that post
