Do....do people on here actually fall for the SSD meme?
Stop being a retard
For anything other than boot drive? I sure hope not.
nice bait op.
>>60323723
It's true, though.
>wow, I can boot my computer in a few seconds xdddddddd
Useless for those who never turn it off.
>>60323729
...you mean....there are people that have rays of SSD's?
...fucking goyims.
>>60323796
>install Witcher 3 on HDD
It takes a fucking minute to load a map
>upgrade to an 2 GB/s M.2 SSD
>loading takes less than a second
>store my VM's virtual drive on HDD
>boots slow as all kinds of fuck
>move to SSD
>boots within seconds along with the X-window system
Why have you fallen for the "Nobody needs SSD" meme baka?
For a boot drive they are great but i dont trust them with anything else.
Its like drawing with a sharp pen on a thin paper, scared to poke a hole in it.

this
the TLC we all have is shit on consumer grade
that said i'll just buy one anyway because powersavings
and i have real back ups on external disk
:)
>>60324362
>TLC we all have
Speak for yourself. Don't expect good results for no investment

ssd's are the norm now in games, m.2 is where its at.
I've been using solid state since 2011, drives are so cheap now that being poor shouldn't be an issue.
>>60324362
>he's such a fucking poorfag that he can't afford an affordable NVMe drive
Kill yourself, NEET.
>>60323717
I regret buying into the SSD meme
>>60323796
Never turn off a computer have a lot of inconveniences OP. I know 'cause I'm doing it too.
SSD's are really useful for my VM's too.
File transfer are really faster
I don't really think we can call them a meme
>have laptop
>get SSD
>SSDs are not only faster, but lighter, quieter, and use less power
>don't need TBs of space because I don't obsessively hoard animu
Feels good man.
>he fell for the ssd meme meme

Sounds like you haven't been exposed to the glory of hibernate mode on an SSD. While hibernate is all around better than "sleep" or "standby" mode, a drawback until recently was that it took a while to load back in to the OS. But with an SSD it's just as fast as waking up from sleep mode.
All things considered, the only reason to reject SSDs as a system drive is to be a hipster.
