OP's pic is straight from /r/unixporn, the guy did a chroot. The entire thing is only accessible through the terminal, same goes for getting through to the underlying linux that sits on every kindle.

Thanks. I was asking because I have a personal project. I was thinking of buying the japanese kindle ( the PW 3 wit 32gb and super fast refresh rate) then send it to waterfi ( a company which mods the kindle and makes it water resistent) and then root it and install KUAL with ko reader and specialozed PDF reflower and then hook the thing with calibre remote library to access my vast library without sacrificing storage. What do you think? Is it too retarded? There is so much potential for e readers but it's too primitivr right now

>calibre remote library
redpill me on this. i have a kobo

The unprecedented regulatory power the Obama Administration imposed on the internet is smothering innovation, damaging the American economy and obstructing job creation. I urge the Federal Communications Commission to end the bureaucratic regulatory overreach of the internet known as Title II and restore the bipartisan light-touch regulatory consensus that enabled the internet to flourish for more than 20 years. The plan currently under consideration at the FCC to repeal Obama's Title II power grab is a positive step forward and will help to promote a truly free and open internet for everyone.

I'd rather have a real book.

You can hook your e reader remotely to your computer and access its library from far away. Look it up.
