What's the actual meaning here? Not even trying to be contrarian, but I feel like this could also mean that each OS was good enough to make people stop doing OS research for n amount of years. Going by this, I'd say the numbers are probably even accurate, considering GNU/Linux is everywhere now where Unix used to be.
