Not in late December when my LG G4 finally succumbed to bootloop and then my backup phone the RAZR HD also started to bootloop only a week later.

I was fed up and wanted a new phone.

Seems like a Zuk Z2 with custom roms would achieve nearly the same results(though shit camera) for literally 1/5th the price.

The only selling point for the pixel beyond the camera, is its vanilla android.

Heres a question: Knowing that people are STILL willing to buy it(at a higher price than a G6 or S8) why the FUCK dont other sellers put out pure android versions of their phones? Do they really make that much money off the shit they force on the phone(not the carrier stuff that actually does monetize, allbeit by nagging customers of a service, NOT customers of the actual phone hardware) to deal with people using it as a reason to avoid buying an S8 or G6? Id think those companies would jump at the chance to reign in their software costs by having google give us their launcher, gallery, dialer, etc...

Nexus line was good when the pricing was appropriate. If Google thinks they can compete with the itoy they should start offering the same support life

I got the Pixel XL and so far I love it. $750 is an obscene price though.

It's the best in a few categories, but probably not the best overall right now.

It's solid, easy to work on and hardware wise is great.
