G5+ is just a little too uggo. Had the other 2 on my radar but I think the big dealbreaker was that I just couldn't really find a good deal on either of the two. Black ZUK Z2 Pros are just impossible to find, and I could only find pink/golden Le Pro 3s for under $300.

A few weeks ago before classes wrapped up, I ditched the Blackberry Z10 I got from my dad and bought a 16 GB Moto G4 play new for $130 Canadabux (under $100 USD). So far it's pretty good, nice to be able to use Android apps natively instead of sideloading them and watching them crawl along on a Snapdragon S4. I was afraid about the camera quality but it generally seems fine, and the phone is snappier on most websites than the Z10 was.

I am really surprised to see that Snapchat runs like such a piece of shit though. I mainly bought this phone to snap back and forth with a qt I know, and while it works the thing is excruciatingly slow, even with 2 gigs of RAM. Is it like this only on cheaper phones, or is Snapchat just a shit program?

Emulator CPU requirements won't change with time. I suggest ordering it, making sure all your emulators etc will work, and returning it if there's an issue.

What is it with Blackberry and lag on launch?

One of the things that sunk the Priv were all the reviewers reporting lag and heat problems with their launch units. It doesn't matter if the problem was fixed months later, and some reviewers (like Notebookcheck) picked up later units and liked them. The damage was already done. Blackberry and TCL should have been working together to make sure their shit was 100% buttery smooth this time around.

Note, however, that the 625 SoC is barely a year old (released Feb 2016), nowhere near the two year mark yet. And to their credit, Blackberry has been very good about security updates. I would rather have an up-to-date version of Nougat rather and an outdated version of Android O. Specs wise it is not great for the price but you also need to consider other factors like build quality, support, keyboard, etc.

I've got a Lenovo P2, overall happy, great battery life and amazing value overall but there are a few issues. The UI, in my opinion, isn't a problem. It's close enough to stock Android with some Apple-isms thrown in here and there. The problems are with the camera, the screen and the GPS.

The camera is extremely average and easily bested by the Moto G series. Exposure is usually too dark and it loses focus in the corners. This is not a huge issue for me since I have a good point and shoot as well as a DSLR for when I need to take serious photos, but it's a little annoying when your friends can document life's more spontaneous moments better than you can. As for the GPS, it does not work well indoors (not such a big problem) or in the car (big problem). This causes lots of frustration.
Finally, the screen has PWM. I know this because, after getting headaches with using the phone on low brightness, I used another camera aimed at my screen and sure enough there was flickering. This is a common Lenovo problem from their laptops and is frankly unacceptable when hardly anyone else needs to resort to this shit.

Haven't had much cause to test the GPS yet since I'm a public transport pleb, but it doesn't seem to be a commonly reported issue. It's possible you got a bad unit (although it's equally possible that reviewers are bad at testing GPS).
