Having finally got a watch, here are the reasons OP:

1. My watch is always on my wrist. I can't really misplace it or lose it
2. I can have things in my hands and still check the time
3. I can't accidentally drop my watch

1. A watch looks good, it is mainly a fashion accessory. Bracelets are gay, so I wear a watch instead.
2. My phone is usually in my pocket. glancing at a watch is a lot less effort and I can do it while I am using my hands to do something unrelated.
3. Having multiple ways to tell time is neat.
4. A watch doesn't need to be recharged.

I'm a school teacher. I need to see the time a lot of different times in the day. If i give children five minutes to do a task i need a quick way to see the time without getting my phone out (which is generally not allowed in school anyway)

I like the style. It's a good accessory.

Sliding/opening your phone is one action, pocket dialing is a synonym for whatever the fuck you want that you don't want to happen by accident on your smartphone.
