Used to feel this way, and I loved Consolas on Windows.

Later I stopped doing any work there, and switched to Inconsolata on Linux, nice, but I' didn't have the glyphs I wanted, so now I'm on plain old Open Sans Mono w/ Powerline.

Didn't think I'd like it, but it's really grown on me. Unicode support and slick line-drawing glyphs for my zsh prompt is just how I like it now.
