What's up /g/, is this a decent computer?
Need one that's not slow as shit (ssd preferred) has expandable storage, and can last me at least more than a couple of years. Web browsing, music production, light gaming, word processing, basic college shit. I've been looking at this for a while but I really don't need it until fall this year. Will something better be released later this year, or are there better laptops on the market today?
Anything less then $800 preferred
suck my dick idiot

deliberately ignore these whenever I'm laptop shopping... just no comfy factor

Fuck, x260 starts at 1700 euro in my country.
>>60280137
It is NOT $400.

Dell xps 13 for personal use, xps 15 for more gamming with mobile gtx980 not as powerfull though

T550, T450, X250 depending on the size you need
T560, T460, X260 if you want to spend close to your preferred price or maybe a bit over
Or another equivalent business class laptop, like Latitude or something, as they are cheaper because they're not so hyped up as thinkpads, can't say personal opinion on those though, as I've only had thinkpads, but they seem good too
Consumer laptops are a fucking scams, buying a new business laptop is also a fucking meme as they cost a fortune, but used business class laptops are pretty cheap, considering the build quality you get from them

Yeah, this will do for your needs OP. I wouldn't get anything cheaper than this you're planning on using Cubase or a similar music production program, though.
You could also get something like this and pop in a $50 SSD where the DVD bay is. That way you'd have the SSD to keep windows snappy and the 1TB HDD for music, movies, and whatever abominations you create in Cubase, etc..

This is what I mean when I said, "you could also get something like this..."

a Dell latitude E7000 series or an EliteBook 800 series.
You'll have a laptop that will last for years
>>60280075
Spec-wise - Yes. But it probably has a 768p screen and the build quality will be absolute garbage, if you plan using it for only like 2-3 years then you can buy it.

No, that's terrible, at least go for the 8GB RAM, i5 6200U, GT-940M, 1TB HDD model. Same price.
damn burgerfags got it so good. i7 for that kind of price ;_;
