Buy a xiaomi. They usually have decent specs with low price. They are currently the value for money smarrphones like motorola phones were in 2013-2014 with the moto G and X.

1GB of RAM is suicide today.
I'm using a custom rom without gapps on my Moto G 2014 and it's the only way I can use it without throwing it on the wall.
I'm planning to get a Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 or 4 or the Xiaomi Mi5 if the price is good enough.
