32gb of commonly used files cached in memory? Yes, please.
My 48gb of memory has purpose now. Caching hasn't been this aggressive in the past from what I've seen.

windows 10 still isn't worth it.

Hey at least it isn't as useless as macOS.

Any news articles linking to this in more detail?
Miiiiight switch to w10 if that's the case and I can try to make it non-cancerous.

What exactly do you do? I have 32GB of memory, but I never have more than 10GB of memory cached unless I'm actually doing something (which based on your CPU chart, you're not doing anything).

That and the limitations on the hardware are annoying as hell.

This has been a future in Windows since Vista or 7 known as Superfetch and the implementation of it seems to have gotten better over time and now it has matured into what it is now on Windows 10. Windows XP had a less capable version known as PreFetch. It's extremely effective the way it is now considering my computer is extremely snappy despite my crappy 7200RPM hard drives.
Forget Intel Optane, large sums of memory seems like a better option.
