Because this isn't /v/. I know it can be confusing because the word "game" starts with a g but this is actually a technology board.

Does anyone still actually play Microsoft Minecraft?
I don't get why I'd need a shitty spoonfeeding distro to setup a Minecraft server, something that takes 5 - 6 minutes given you have and shell experience at all.
If you're too young / stupid to setup a Minecraft server yourself, you're too young / stupid to be hosting a Minecraft server, say what you will about paid hosting.
I did a few years back. My server never got much traction though. Maybe because I kept the server too consistent without a fuckload of stupid plug-ins and shit, I dunno.
what the fuck? There is absolutely 0 point. Do you know any nginx os? pureftpd os? It does not happen. It's just a linux but with minecraft preinstalled. Fuck the worlf.

I tried it once, because I had no knowledge of Linux so I thought it would be easy.
Well a bit later I decided to install modded, spent a shitton of time banging myself against their interface trying to figure it out, then just did it manually completely bypassing the web console and was on my merry way.
Moral of the story, there is literally no point unless you want a plain vanilla server. For anything else, it's easier to learn to use the CLI and make a headless server manually.
