I am, using a buffed nano version that has some features that allows me to highlight properly, jump between lines where I need to and check.

since version 2.5, you've been able to highlight by holding down shift instead of using ctrl+6 to mark

also, you can jump to different lines with ctrl+_, or by adding the +line,column offset when opening nano
