under the pretext of "helping the unfortunate and needed" food stamps are pushed and paid for by tax dollars

the government pushes this because food companies lobby to spend tax dollars on food stamps which is used to buy food

instead of the goverment buying healthy food in bulk to give them to those in need, saving costs by buying in bulk and improving their health through healthy food to reduce healthcare costs

instead they straight up give them food money to spend on high priced junk food, so the tax dollars go back to the food companies promoting the stamps on the first place

making it easier to get them, they don't care if you're making money under the table and have a BMW full of weed, as long as you don't have a legal job making a lot of money you get them

and that's what you get when a government ruled by the interests of companies instead of the interest of the well being of their citizens gets so large and powerful
