I prefer my UTM.
>>
>>60242790
Well I want to use Pfsense but it doesn't have good drivers for wifi.
>>
>>60242829
Build a UTM and buy an AP that can do VLANs.
>>
>>60242850
But what's the point of adding a chink AP to my network?
>>
>>60242889
All AP's are going to be chink made. Get a midrange business AP and you'll be fine.
>>
>can't run openvpn/shadowsocks at 100+mbit
To the trash it goes.
Otherwise it's okayish router.
>>
>>60242736
it was a great router a couple of years ago. I've bought one for my parents and it literally never needed any attention or maintenance besides a couple of security upgrades which can be done from an iPad.

too bad apple never bumped specs or added more features like traffic shaping.
>>
>>60242736
Piece of shit. I work out of a cowork place that used one and that thing was nothing but trouble. Daily reboots, etc. they're too cheap to buy some real hardware so they replaced it with a netgear nighthawk and it hasn't had any issues.

At home I run a pfsense box and a ubiquiti AP.
>>
>>60242736
Good as an AP
Ok I guess as a router
>>
>>60242736
I don't
>>
>>60242736
Ooooo another Fapple product, and it comes in white!
>>
>>60242736
can it run openwrt or pfsense?
>>
>>60243012
its probably meant for home users that only browse facebook and not heavy business use.
>>
>>60242736

Good for normies, but doesn't have the features or control that I would want. I use Gentoo+iptables+snort+bro-ids.
