Apart from the actual RAM usage, your screenshot illustrates something that really annoys me about Android: "Android OS" and "Android System" including all sorts of things including random apps background services. Yep, if you install some app that pulls data regularly or does something in the background then it'll just grow one or both of those.

it also has no crack, it's based on LTSB N 2016, 64bit

ps. i don't actually use windows, so this has had no real testing, it may or may not work with all of your software should you want to use it, i did aim for a reasonably compatible featureset, but i have little experience with windows 10
>>
>>60239485
Dude who gives a shit about RAM in the current year, even if it used 256MB how would that help you?
The problem with 10 is it does a ton of shit in the background that you have no control over.
The CPU can't idle in the most power efficient state, the HDD doesn't spin down, your laptop could wake up for a scheduled update while in your backpack and overheat.
Windows is shit.

basically everything i know isn't important for most desktop purposes, working from windows 7 stripping experience, if that is a thing
the iso contains the configuration used with NTLite, so you can see exactly what what removed and changed in that file
you can also use that file with NTLite to generate an identical iso from your own clean copy of win10 ltsb 2016 n 64bit, if you feel more comfortable doing so

Not the Anon you're answering to, but it's all about test and trial until you find the best lite version that suits your needs and works correctly with your hardware.
I personally would never use any other Lite Version of XP but "Windows XP SP3 x86 Black Edition 2013", for example.
Yeah, I know, edgy name. Sorry, I can't do anything about it
With that being said though, I always thought Micro and Tiny XP were made for literal old Pentium PCs with really old GPUs so people could install any of them there and "revive it".

back when i used to use windows, i did stripped down versions of several other versions, 2000, xp, 2003, vista, 2008, 7...
most i was just curious to see what could be done with 10
you wouldn't believe what i did to XP, tweaked the shit out of everything, even setup itself was riced to fuck (most of the graphics changed, aero cursors, cleartype, higher resolution, etc, i did it by manually modifying the setup registry hive)
i also got 2000 down to 60M installed once, booted in just a few seconds on a pentium 4 with an ide hdd

Android keeps the RAM full with programs and services you often use, so they can be relaunched faster (and to save battery with less CPU cycles, though I doubt that would use more energy than keeping the RAM full all the time).

When another program you're actually using needs more RAM than the available, Android automatically unloads from RAM the services and programs you're not running, from the eldest to the newest.

Also, the Android runtime and Google Play Services are HUGE memory hog.

Most android phones don't have ram in the normal sense.
But I agree it's an annoying circumstance because the situation makes the codemonkeys think they can do whatever they like without issue because they can rely on the app-cache.
Which is why an application that displays images may require a splash screen.

I do not think regular antivirus would detect shit when it is OS itself and could have just about anything preinstalled. It is not like malware gotta be 20mb exe file at desktop with already known source code.
The best one can do is to monitor data send.

I will wireshark it,should not be problem with fresh install. If I went full paranoid I could expect time-trigger to prevent such finding.

But to be realist I doubt someone would bother to do something as advanced to random people in /g while you can do Cat.exe malware and share it on facebook to infect millions of stupid people.

So thank you for sharing your iso.

Why does anyone care about ram usage in 2017? I'm sure there are a few faggots that will say 'I max out my 64 gigs of ram all the time!' but the rest of you?

You do realize it takes some pretty serious ricing to get your Windows directory under 10 GiB, right? It takes just as much effort to optimize Windows/NT as it does to optimize GNU/Linux, you just don't see many people optimizing Windows/NT since most who actually care about that stuff would rather switch to GNU/Linux anyways.

because android loads more or less all it can into memory at all times, it can and does easily reclaim all the memory it needs. That (along with forcefull shutdowns) are why those task manager type apps are pointless for clearing memory

Full fat Windows 10 Home installs under 8gigs when you enable compact OS.
That's how they are able to ship Windows 10 tablets with only 32gb emmc.
>>
>>60247568

wait a couple of months and then winsxs and installer folders grow up like crazy

>but it's not real hard disk space lol

tell that to every piece of software including windows itself.

it is used ram, not cached.

It eats ~600mb according to Chrome's manager itself.

Windows 10 received a patch like few months after release and it compresses RAM. Just like Mac OS X does.

It's useful / nice to have.

Come on anon, use your brain, windows 10 was free for a while, they wanted to bring people into it, somebody's gotta pay for the money lost there, and who do you think is going to pay for it?

My laptop came with win 8.1, so i installed 10 after few weeks and from that point my laptop cant go sleep 7/10 times
And i need to force shutdown because fan and hdd continiue working

Now im on lenux, and i can boot in 4-5s and poweroff in 1s + my favorite games and programs that i need are compactible with Linux
>>
>>60246386
you have to go back
>>
>>60259563
Blame the manufacturer. Not kidding.
You could also use 10 LTSB, or just simply 8.1.
Windows is not like Linux, you don't have to upgrade the core / kernel just to have fresh software.
